We made it to Clearwater Beach one night but I only got there 5 minutes before the sun disappeared. Hopefully I get more time in the future.

Most everyone sees the Capitol Building and do not look at the details. It has many more details than I initially realized.
My grandma and grandpa. No filter needed! This is a picture of a picture that I have of them.
This photo was taken on a trip to Washington DC a couple of years ago. It is of the Andrew Jackson statue just outside of the fence to the White House.

Last Easter (Easter 2012) I took some photos of old VW Beetles rotting in a field. I thought that I had lost the RAW files and I found them tonight. This is a picture of one of the cars.
I am going back to Tampa for work in a couple of weeks. I can not wait to get away from this cold. This was taken in March 2012.
I have had a lot of trouble sleeping lately and have tried several things to help but there hasn’t
been a lot of real success. I tried taking some melatonin to help me fall asleep and I think it really works. I typically would lay in bed for 30 minutes or more before I could finally get my brain to slow down enough to sleep. I have taken melatonin for the last three night and I have been asleep in less that 10 minutes each night. There seems to be some trade off though.
This morning I had the weirdest and most vivid dream. I mean vivid as you can imagine. It was about my dad, who past away around five years ago. In the dream we were basically sitting, talking and having fun. We worked together for almost a year when I was in college because he got a job for me at the shop that he worked at to earn money to pay for school and that is where the dream took place. Working with him was an interesting time for me that definitely got me on the straight and narrow with school and pushed me to pursue a job that did not involve a lot of manual labor. I think that is what he wanted to be honest with you. Well, he got his wish and I stayed away from manual labor jobs for the most part.
The important part of this story is that the dream seemed so real and brought back all of these thoughts and memories to me this morning. So many that it took a few minutes to be able to comprehend them all. When I first woke up the dream seemed like a very depressing, overwhelming event that reminded me of these bad memories from Dad passing away. Now that I have had time to process it, I feel a little better about it all and it seems like we had a good afternoon together chatting, even if it wasn’t real. At first I was considering avoiding melatonin from now on but with some reconsideration, I will remain open to it. Sure I might have freaky real dreams but at least I can sleep.
